Help Scholar’s Compass Connect to Communities

August 28, 2014 by Hannah Eagleson Leave a Comment

As we're launching Scholar's Compass, we'd love to connect with communities who might want to try it out and give us occasional feedback. Do you know any groups of graduate students or professors who might want to try it out? They can be campus ministry chapters, church groups, groups at one-time events like retreats, or others. Please feel free to forward our brief community survey to them. Or if it's easier, drop us a note. We'd love to hear from you! … [Read more...] about Help Scholar’s Compass Connect to Communities

Scholar’s Compass: Navigating Themes

August 21, 2014 by Hannah Eagleson Leave a Comment

ESN's new devotional for scholars launches September 7, and we're planning the themes or threads that it will feature across the year. August 14, 2014 by Hannah Eagleson 4 Comments

Scholar's Compass, ESN's new devotional by and for scholars, is taking shape. We'll be launching September 8 with posts three times weekly. We've had about 55 responses to our survey, and we're excited to talk more with each of you. If you haven't had a chance yet to respond, we'd love to hear from you. Which themes do you want Scholar's Compass to engage? We'll be exploring a number of themes and ideas as the work takes shape, and we'd love to know which ones interest you. We envision this as a collaborative … [Read more...] about Suggest Themes for Scholar’s Compass

Devotional for Scholars: Prayers and More

July 31, 2014 by Hannah Eagleson Leave a Comment

We're deeply excited by the response to the academic devotional so far. Over forty writers in at least five countries have gotten in touch. We're delighted to hear from so many scholars who want to talk about integrating faith and academic vocation. If you haven't responded yet, we'd love to hear from you. We'd also love to receive your input on names. Which are your favorites? Any new suggestions? We'll be deciding soon, so please tell us your ideas. We're so grateful for the many people who've offered to pray … [Read more...] about Devotional for Scholars: Prayers and More
