Adam, Where are You? (STEAM Grant Series)

June 1, 2018 by Gerald Rau 5 Comments

ESN is currently creating a Faith/Science curriculum for young adult small groups.  We've partnered with InterVarsity graduate student discussion groups to identify faith/science questions that are important to emerging scholars, and we're commissioning thoughtful Christians in science or theology/philosophy to explore those questions in this series at the ESN blog.  We will publish these posts as a booklet curriculum for campus groups. Debates over evolution and origins are a challenging area for many Christians as … [Read more...] about Adam, Where are You? (STEAM Grant Series)

Science Corner: It’s a Micro, Micro, Micro, Micro World

September 14, 2016 by Andy Walsh Leave a Comment

I've seen quite a few interesting microbiology stories in the news recently and I couldn't pick just one, so we'll take a little survey of what's happening. Most relevant to your immediate future was the recent FDA ban on certain anti-microbials in soaps and other hygiene products. Don't worry, the bacteria aren't celebrating; washing with regular soap and water will get rid of just as many of them, and products like alcohol-based hand sanitizers will remain available because they have demonstrated utility. The FDA is … [Read more...] about Science Corner: It’s a Micro, Micro, Micro, Micro World
