Engaging the whole university for Christ

June 13, 2014 by Tom Grosh IV Leave a Comment

Are we going to treat the campus as a whole as our mission field? What if Christ really, truly engaged the whole university? This is a great, bold and magnificent vision. May we be worthy of it. -- Terence C. Halliday To continue the train of thought inspired by NY Times: Colleges and Evangelicals Collide on Bias Policy and Book Review: The Global Diffusion of Evangelicalism, let's "get back to basics" and give attention to Terence C. Halliday's Engaging the whole university for Christ.  As you may know, Terence is … [Read more...] about Engaging the whole university for Christ

A Liturgy for the new year

January 1, 2014 by Tom Grosh IV Leave a Comment

When in the final stages of completing the new InterVarsity Graduate and Faculty Ministries (GFM) website, I came across a number of  InterVarsity twentyonehundred productions videos  focused on Following Christ and Human Flourishing in the context of higher education. Others will be shared in a variety of other GFM platforms, including here on the Emerging Scholars Network Blog :) Update (1/4/2014, 9:24 am): A Liturgy  (3 min, 22 sec) is part of  Get … [Read more...] about A Liturgy for the new year

A missionary calling to Africa for Christian academics: Part 2

October 9, 2013 by G. Randall Bond, M.D. 4 Comments
