I am persuaded that anyone interested in how we learn about God and why certain approaches are more fruitful than others will find this book enlightening.
If we’re meant to believe these things on faith, or really at all, why leave so many open questions?
Even if we admit some sense of progress in science whereby knowledge accumulates and truth is monotonically, if perhaps asymptotically, approached, we can also appreciate that answering questions reveals more questions we didn’t previously know we should be asking.
One thing I really appreciate about Polkinghorne is his frank and direct emphasis of Jesus at the center of his theology.
