Register for American Scientific Affiliation Annual Meeting (Free for Students)

Register for the ASA Annual Meeting for free as a student!

Apply for student scholarships for 75% off lodging and meals.

InterVarsity’s Emerging Scholars Network (ESN) is teaming up with the American Scientific Affiliation (ASA), a professional association for Christians in science, to host a pilot student conference track at the ASA conference this summer. The conference will be July 22-25, 2016 at Azusa Pacific University near Los Angeles, CA.

Now is a great time to take advantage of free student registration (with student membership, also free), and to apply early for student scholarships for 75% off lodging and meals.

Note: Several years ago Dwight Schwartz, an InterVarsity colleague, encouraged me to join him at an ASA Conference. Ever since 2010, I have explored ways to grow a partnership between ASA and ESN. With increasing conference involvement over the past several years, I look forward to the next steps we are taking in 2016 and 2017. If you are a student in the sciences, I pray that you will give student membership and the ASA conference prayerful consideration. Looking forward to connecting/reconnecting with some of you at the upcoming conference. Please pass along the word to friends in the sciences. ~ Thomas B. Grosh IV, Associate Director, Emerging Scholars Network

The Emerging Scholars Network is always seeking opportunities to identify, encourage, and equip the next generation of Christian scholars to be a redeeming influence in the academy, church, and the world. As you have an announcement, a "call for papers", an event, a prayer request (e.g., campus, field, higher ed), a resource suggestion, a review, etc., which is in concord with our Kingdom of God endeavor, please send materials (marketing/sales material not accepted) for consideration to post via email or the ESN Writer Survey. Thank-you. To God be the glory!

About Us

The Emerging Scholars Network (ESN) is a national network within InterVarsity’s Graduate & Faculty Ministries which supports those on the academic pathway as they work out how their academic vocation serves God and others. We encourage and equip undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and early career faculty as they navigate each stage of their academic vocation and transition to the next step in or beyond the academy.
