June 14, 2020 by ESN Announce Leave a Comment

We’re excited about our upcoming ESN conversation webinars. We’ll share more detail later, but we wanted to give readers a preview of the topics through October and a chance to pencil the dates into your calendars. Join us to connect with authors and scholars, learn about new books, and ask questions. Below is the schedule of speakers and topics for June through October. Thanks to InterVarsity Press for partnering with us on this series of opportunities.

June 17, 3 pm (US Eastern Time): Robert Chao Romero, Brown Church

July 16, noon (US Eastern Time): Jason Gaboury, Wait with Me

August 10, 1 pm (US Eastern Time): John Inazu, Uncommon Ground and The Carver Project

September 24, 3 pm (US Eastern Time): Warren Brown and Brad Strawn, Enhancing Christian Life  (on extended cognition)

October 15, Noon (US Eastern Time): Justin Giboney, Compassion and Conviction (on the “And” campaign and civic engagement)

More about ESN Conversations: We launched the ESN Conversations initiative in 2019 as a way for ESN members to discover relevant new books, meet the authors, and connect with each other, all in a convenient 1-hour webinar. Have suggestions? Contact us with your ideas.

ESN Announce

The Emerging Scholars Network is always seeking opportunities to identify, encourage, and equip the next generation of Christian scholars to be a redeeming influence in the academy, church, and the world. As you have an announcement, a “call for papers”, an event, a prayer request (e.g., campus, field, higher ed), a resource suggestion, a review, etc., which is in concord with our Kingdom of God endeavor, please send materials (marketing/sales material not accepted) for consideration to post via email or the ESN Writer Survey. Thank you.
