2) Saturday, March 1: “The End of the University?” Symposium with Dr. Santa Ono, President of U. of Cincinnati. Pray for preparations. Graduate students and ESN members, if cost is an issue, email the Emerging Scholars Network to inquire about scholarships. Please register today if you can or by the middle of next week.
Note: This symposium is Live via the videoconferencing across the five states and eight campuses originating from the University of Cincinnati. I’ll be at the Pittsburgh site and hope to connect with some of you there and via the videoconferencing. AND yes, in addition to particular campus application, there will be follow-up conversations on the ESN Blog, which will include video from the conference. Any questions regarding the symposium should be directed to Howard Van Cleave, Symposium Coordinator at Van-cleave.3@osu.edu.
3) Christian Scholars Foundation Grant in partnership with ESN. The Christian Scholars Foundation (CSF) offers the CSF-ESN Grant to Advance Christian Scholarship to encourage and nurture Christian junior faculty as they strive for wider recognition in and beyond the academy. We seek to encourage them to integrate Christian faith with their academic endeavors. The deadline for the preliminary application is Saturday, March 15.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ- to the glory and praise of God. – Philippians 1:9-11
