Thank You, Lord, for _______________, who prayed with me to receive Jesus as my Lord & Savior.
As I shared on Thanksgiving, please join me in engaging the holiday season — all too often filled with frustration and frenzy — through the lens of the 30 Prayers of Thanksgiving (Growing in Gratitude-Praying to God for the Influential People in My Life). In Facing A Task Unfinished, Keith & Kristyn Getty remind us of the call before us, one engaged in the daily grind [of higher education] and in the next steps ahead of us. If you have not already done such, I pray you give prayerful consideration to joining InterVarsity Christian Fellowship / USA’s Graduate and Faculty Ministries at the Urbana Student Missions Conference. And yes, a few spaces remain in the ESN Urbana 18 Fellows Program. If this is of interest, please apply ASAP!
May we live lives filled with thankfulness in higher education. May by God’s grace, each one of us be thankful for those we are with, near, and long to be with. May we take time to share our thanksgiving through conversation, correspondence, actions, and prayer. May we be thankful for the relationships, neighborhoods, responsibilities, and tasks we have been called to steward. Yes, may we be countercultural in a manner which is culture making. To God be the glory!
