Register for the ASA Annual Meeting for free as a student!
Apply for student scholarships for 75% off lodging and meals.
InterVarsity’s Emerging Scholars Network (ESN) is teaming up with the American Scientific Affiliation (ASA), a professional association for Christians in science, to host a pilot student conference track at the ASA conference this summer. The conference will be July 22-25, 2016 at Azusa Pacific University near Los Angeles, CA.
Now is a great time to take advantage of free student registration (with student membership, also free), and to apply early for student scholarships for 75% off lodging and meals.
Note: Several years ago Dwight Schwartz, an InterVarsity colleague, encouraged me to join him at an ASA Conference. Ever since 2010, I have explored ways to grow a partnership between ASA and ESN. With increasing conference involvement over the past several years, I look forward to the next steps we are taking in 2016 and 2017. If you are a student in the sciences, I pray that you will give student membership and the ASA conference prayerful consideration. Looking forward to connecting/reconnecting with some of you at the upcoming conference. Please pass along the word to friends in the sciences. ~ Thomas B. The Emerging Scholars Network is always seeking opportunities to identify, encourage, and equip the next generation of Christian scholars to be a redeeming influence in the academy, church, and the world. As you have an announcement, a “call for papers”, an event, a prayer request (e.g., campus, field, higher ed), a resource suggestion, a review, etc., which is in concord with our Kingdom of God endeavor, please send materials (marketing/sales material not accepted) for consideration to post via email or the ESN Writer Survey. Thank-you. To God be the glory!
