December 8, 2011 by Micheal Hickerson Leave a Comment

If you're an official member of the  Emerging Scholars Network, then you've received my recent end-of-the-year emails. (If you aren't an ESN member, then why not join right now?) Last week, I reported the great work going on here at the  Emerging Scholars Blog, which you, of course, already know about! Today, I reported on the ministry that my co-blogger Tom Grosh leads in South Central Pennsylvania. So you too can … [Read more...] about Would You Support ESN With An End-of-the-Year Gift?

July 5, 2011 by Micheal Hickerson 10 Comments

July 1 began a new fiscal year for InterVarsity, which for staff means (among other things) it's time for us to look back on the past 12 months and look ahead to the next 12 months. For Tom and me, this will include looking at the Emerging Scholars Blog. As we say in our sidebar: We publish on Tuesdays and Thursdays on topics like academic vocation and calling, spiritual formation in the academy, and the integration of theology with academic disciplines. I can already tell you that we're planning on some new guest … [Read more...] about What Would You Like to See on the Blog in 2011-12?

Unless we can increase the boldness of current faculty and … [Read more...] about ESN: “An essential & growing movement”

New Schedule and a New Way to Follow ESN

September 13, 2010 by Micheal Hickerson Leave a Comment

Today, we're announcing a few changes to the  Emerging Scholars Blog: We're now going to post twice a week, with Mike posting on Tuesdays and Tom posting on Thursdays. For the time being, we're retiring the Friday Week in Review feature. Instead, we'll be sharing links throughout the week on the ESN Facebook page and on our shiny new ESN Twitter account. You heard me right: Twitter. ESN has now entered the 1st quarter of 2010. If you don't have Twitter, don't worry: the links on Facebook and Twitter are going … [Read more...] about New Schedule and a New Way to Follow ESN
