We’re delighted to announce that InterVarsity Faculty Ministry will be hosting a digital pilgrimage experience for faculty this summer. As a part of faculty ministry, ESN is delighted to serve those in and considering faculty vocations. It may be hard to attend a summer conference or go on a literal pilgrimage in another part of the world right now, and we hope this pilgrimage from your front door will be a way to connect with others and grow spiritually this summer.

Faculty Ministry invites you to join them on one of the oldest pilgrimage routes in Europe, the Camino de Santiago, starting from your front door. Faculty Ministry & Study Abroad are partnering together to offer this 5 week digital pilgrimage, which will include a Zoom orientation and debrief, five walks with audio guides, a Facebook group (we call it our faculty “alburergue,” the place where the travelers meet and rest) and optional Camino-themed activities (e.g., Spirituality of Wine, Paella Cooking lessons, Pilgrimage as Spiritual Formation, etc.). We’re designing this journey for faculty, their families, their friends and those who love faculty.
The beauty and power of the Camino is that people walk for so many reasons: from meeting God in nature, to carrying a grief or burden before the Lord, to seeking direction for their life. We’re looking forward to encountering God with you both on screen and off.
The Emerging Scholars Network is always seeking opportunities to identify, encourage, and equip the next generation of Christian scholars to be a redeeming influence in the academy, church, and the world. As you have an announcement, a “call for papers”, an event, a prayer request (e.g., campus, field, higher ed), a resource suggestion, a review, etc., which is in concord with our Kingdom of God endeavor, please send materials (marketing/sales material not accepted) for consideration to post via email or the ESN Writer Survey. Thank-you. To God be the glory!
