As we hear of opportunities that may be of interest to Christian scholars, we often share them at the ESN blog as a public service. Anselm House recently contacted us with this opportunity.
Anselm House, a Christian study center at the University of Minnesota, is seeking a full-time Associate Director of University Engagement. This position will work closely with our Program Director, Executive Director, and other programs staff to lead and develop all programs aimed at advancing Anselm House’s mission of connecting Christian faith with the academic life of the University of Minnesota, especially among faculty, graduate students, and research staff. The successful candidate will have responsibility for developing programs that engage the most promising intersections between the Christian tradition and the research/teaching priorities of the University of Minnesota. These programs necessarily involve a high degree of collaboration with UMN individuals and institutions, as well as immersion in the academic life of the University of Minnesota. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong academic training, interests, and abilities who desires the creative freedom to develop new models and programs for pursuing interdisciplinary questions in relation to the Christian faith at a major research university.
For full description, qualifications, and application process, please see the full posting. Applications will be reviewed beginning on January 14.
The Emerging Scholars Network is always seeking opportunities to identify, encourage, and equip the next generation of Christian scholars to be a redeeming influence in the academy, church, and the world. As you have an announcement, a “call for papers”, an event, a prayer request (e.g., campus, field, higher ed), a resource suggestion, a review, etc., which is in concord with our Kingdom of God endeavor, please send materials (marketing/sales material not accepted) for consideration to post via email or the ESN Writer Survey. Thank-you. To God be the glory!
