Dear ESN blog readers,
This summer, we thought we’d try an experiment and invite readers to tell us what they’d like to see at the blog in various areas. Today, we’d love to hear your thoughts on our fall social sciences coverage. Here are a few things we’re considering for the fall:
- Social Sciences-oriented reflections at least once a month in our Scholar’s Compass devotional for academics
- Interviews with ESN members in the Social Sciences about once a month
- More Social Sciences-oriented book reviews
- In depth think pieces on what it means to be a Christian scholar in the social sciences
Use the comments section or email us to tell us what you’re most interested in, or suggest other ideas we haven’t thought of yet. We want to hear from you!

The four considerations written above will be useful knowledge on maintaining a biblical perspective within the social sciences. I am a second year PhD student in health studies and will begin as an adjunct, teaching public health this Fall. I value the articles and blogs that ESN publishes and keep printed copies in my office. Thank you for the coverage on social sciences.
Thanks, Irene! I’m so glad to hear the blog is helpful to you, and I’m glad to hear you like these ideas. Always feel free to suggest others, in the blog comments or via social media or email. -Hannah, ESN blog editor
