ESN loves to provide opportunities for members. A very important membership benefit is the junior faculty grant offered to an ESN member every year by the Christian Scholars Foundation (CSF). CSF generously partners with ESN to support a junior faculty member with funds that can be used for research or other projects exploring Christian scholarship. Carrie Bredow, the 2016 CSF Grant Awardee, is pictured above. Read on for more details and a link to an interview with Dr. Bredow.
Mark your calendars for March 15, 2018: that’s the deadline for the annual Christian Scholars Foundation Grant application, given exclusively to an ESN member who is early career faculty (grantees must be in the US or Canada). Usually one grant is awarded, but in 2017, we’re delighted to share that the Christian Scholars Foundation was able to give equal grants of $7500 to two different faculty members.
Stay tuned in the new year for interviews with both grant awardees, a potential Google hangout for advice on applying, and more details on the 2018 grant. To learn more about the grant, click here. About the author:
The Emerging Scholars Network is always seeking opportunities to identify, encourage, and equip the next generation of Christian scholars to be a redeeming influence in the academy, church, and the world. As you have an announcement, a "call for papers", an event, a prayer request (e.g., campus, field, higher ed), a resource suggestion, a review, etc., which is in concord with our Kingdom of God endeavor, please send materials (marketing/sales material not accepted) for consideration to post via email or the ESN Writer Survey. Thank-you. To God be the glory!
