Call for Presenters: Creation Care @ the Frontiers of Mission (April 6-7)

November 25, 2017 by ESN Announce No Comments

sparrow photoA message from our friends in the Lausanne Movement / World Evangelical Alliance Creation Care Network. ESN shares conference announcements and calls for papers from time to time as a way for folks in our network to learn about gatherings they may appreciate and opportunities to share their work.

Creation Care @ the Frontiers of Mission: Reaching the Least of These in a Changing World

Ralph D. Winter Symposium
Frontier Ventures & William Carey International University in partnership with the Lausanne / WEA Creation Care Network.

Friday & Saturday, April 6 & 7, 2018

Mott Auditorium
William Carey International University
1539 E. Howard St., Pasadena, CA 91104

This event is for anyone with a missional heart who wants to deepen their understanding of environmental stewardship. Practitioners of environmental stewardship can deepen their understanding of the implications their work has for ministry to the unreached. Pastors, organizational leaders, and influencers can become champions of environmental missions.

Keynote speakers already lined up include Katharine Hayhoe, Peter Harris (founder of A Rocha), Lowell Bliss and Ed Brown.

Call for presenters:

The organizers invite you to propose presentations, breakout sessions or possibly a TED-style 15 minute plenary talk. If you are interested, please fill out the form now. Professors–we would love to have student presentations–either solo, in a group, or under your supervision. We will begin screening presentation proposals in November, and will continue to do so on a rolling basis until the program is full. So there’s plenty of time, but don’t put it off too long!

ESN Announce

The Emerging Scholars Network is always seeking opportunities to identify, encourage, and equip the next generation of Christian scholars to be a redeeming influence in the academy, church, and the world. As you have an announcement, a "call for papers", an event, a prayer request (e.g., campus, field, higher ed), a resource suggestion, a review, etc., which is in concord with our Kingdom of God endeavor, please send materials (marketing/sales material not accepted) for consideration to post via email or the ESN Writer Survey. Thank-you. To God be the glory!

About Us

The Emerging Scholars Network (ESN) is a national network within InterVarsity’s Graduate & Faculty Ministries which supports those on the academic pathway as they work out how their academic vocation serves God and others. We encourage and equip undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and early career faculty as they navigate each stage of their academic vocation and transition to the next step in or beyond the academy.
