A Call for Asian American Christian Voices and Perspectives

October 18, 2014 by ESN Announce Leave a Comment

Asian American Ministry ConferenceThe Korean Churches for Community Development (KCCD) are establishing a new social media platform, Asian American Christian Voices and Perspectives, to address policy issues affecting the Asian American community. We are looking for scholars to write 1-2 page policy briefs and 1-2 theological reflections on specific topics such as

  • human trafficking
  • immigration reform
  • mental health.

We also need writers to produce blog pieces soliciting the perspectives of leading Asian American  pastors,  Christian community leaders, and  community members affected by these topics.

The aim of this platform is to educate the church, mobilize its members, and raise the voice of Asian Pacific Islander Christian leaders in the public square.  For more information, please contact Dr. Russell Jeung, professor of Asian American Studies, rmjeung at gmail dot com.

ESN Announce

The Emerging Scholars Network is always seeking opportunities to identify, encourage, and equip the next generation of Christian scholars to be a redeeming influence in the academy, church, and the world. As you have an announcement, a “call for papers”, an event, a prayer request (e.g., campus, field, higher ed), a resource suggestion, a review, etc., which is in concord with our Kingdom of God endeavor, please send materials (marketing/sales material not accepted) for consideration to post via email or the ESN Writer Survey. Thank you.
