Support ESN At Year End

December 22, 2014 by ESN Announce Leave a Comment

Dear friends, This year, the Emerging Scholars Network (ESN) launched Scholar's Compass, introduced Christian scholars to peers across continents, and supported ESN Local pilot events in Boston and Central Pennsylvania. We reflect on the imagery of growth this Advent, thinking about passages like Isaiah 41: 19–20 (ESV): I will put in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, the myrtle, and the olive. I will set in the desert the cypress, the plane and the pine together, that they may see and know, may consider and … [Read more...] about Support ESN At Year End

An invitation to support ESN at year end . . .

December 20, 2013 by Tom Grosh IV Leave a Comment

The Emerging Scholars Network provides encouragement, vision, and connections that are vital to Christian students and faculty. In isolation, we wither; in community, we flourish. —David A. Vosburg, Associate Professor of Chemistry, Harvey Mudd College As we continue to await the coming of the Christ-child in these hopeful days of Advent, we are reminded of our call towards generosity in this season of gifts. InterVarsity's  Emerging Scholars Network  (ESN) could not exist without the generous efforts of its members … [Read more...] about An invitation to support ESN at year end . . .

If you have the ability, please prayerfully consider joining us in "celebrating" by making a year-end gift to assist the  Emerging Scholars Network  in continuing to advance its labors in identifying, encouraging, and equipping the next generation of Christian scholars to be a redeeming influence in the academy, church, and the world. To give toward this mission, click  here. Thank-you … [Read more...] about Giving Tuesday: Advancing the labors of ESN

Will You Partner with ESN?

2012 JHU Lunch

This year has been a time of transition for the  Emerging Scholars Network, and one more transition —the end of our fiscal year —is approaching soon.  InterVarsity's fiscal year wraps up at the end of this month, and we'd like you to consider partnering with ESN with a financial contribution between now and June 30. As you probably know, ESN encourages and equips the next generation of Christian scholars. How do we do this? Mentoring: We help connect younger scholars with those who have gone before them. We also … [Read more...] about Will You Partner with ESN?

Would You Support ESN With An End-of-the-Year Gift?

December 8, 2011 by Micheal Hickerson Leave a Comment

If you're an official member of the  Emerging Scholars Network, then you've received my recent end-of-the-year emails. (If you aren't an ESN member, then why not join right now?) These updates share the good news of ESN's recent activities and invite ESN members to contribute to ESN. Last week, I reported the great work going on here at the  Emerging Scholars Blog, which you, of course, already know about! Today, I reported on the ministry that my co-blogger Tom Grosh leads in South Central Pennsylvania. So you too can … [Read more...] about Would You Support ESN With An End-of-the-Year Gift?
