O ye showers and dew,
bless ye the Lord;
praise him and magnify him for ever.O ye winds of God,
bless ye the Lord;
O ye fire and heat,
bless ye the Lord;O ye winter and summer,
bless ye the Lord,
praise him and magnify him for ever.O ye dews and frosts,
bless ye the Lord;
O ye frost and cold,
bless ye the Lord;O ye ice and snow,
bless ye the Lord;
praise him and magnify him for ever.O ye nights and days,
bless ye the Lord;
O ye light and darkness,
bless ye the Lord;– Excerpt, traditional canticle, “Benedicite, Omnia Opera Domini,” courtesy of Hymnary.org
This Sabbath day, we continue sharing this beautiful hymn encouraging all God’s works to praise Him. We’re praying for a sense of worship and joy to be present for readers in all things, for chances to rejoice in God’s creation to be many, and for the flourishing of everyone in our network. For the previous stanzas, see last week’s post.
The Emerging Scholars Network is always seeking opportunities to identify, encourage, and equip the next generation of Christian scholars to be a redeeming influence in the academy, church, and the world. As you have an announcement, a “call for papers”, an event, a prayer request (e.g., campus, field, higher ed), a resource suggestion, a review, etc., which is in concord with our Kingdom of God endeavor, please send materials (marketing/sales material not accepted) for consideration to post via email or the ESN Writer Survey. Thank-you. To God be the glory!
