Sharing the Scholar’s Journey

May 22, 2025 by Jamie Noyd Leave a Comment

Summer Reading and Writing Group for Emerging Scholars

This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” – Jeremiah 6:16

Join other emerging scholars (grad students, post-docs, early career faculty) to walk in the good way this summer as we engage in community, spiritual formation, and faith/scholarship integration while on the scholars’ journey.

  • discuss short readings
  • share your own stories
  • ask questions about this journey
  • encourage one another in research and class prep
  • pray for the campus and one another

We’ll be reading a variety of short essays and articles. Participants will be encouraged to share their current work during one of the gatherings, or perhaps a piece of writing about part of their journey.  If there is interest, we will schedule an online writing retreat to help everyone move a project forward.

We will meet five Thursdays from 3-4:30 ET:  June 5, 19, July 10, 24, August 7.

Please complete this form if you are interested in participating and would like to receive emails about the gatherings.
