O all ye fowls of the air,
bless ye the Lord;
O all ye beasts and cattle,
bless ye the Lord;

O ye children of men,
bless ye the Lord;
praise him and magnify him for ever.

O ye people of God,
bless ye the Lord;
O ye priests of the Lord,
bless ye the Lord;

O ye servants of the Lord,
bless ye the Lord;
praise him and magnify him for ever.

O ye spirits and souls of the righteous,
bless ye the Lord;
O ye holy and humble men of heart,
bless ye the Lord.

Let us bless the Father,
the Son, and the Holy Spirit;
praise him and magnify him for ever.
O ye seas and floods,

– Excerpt, traditional canticle, “Benedicite, Omnia Opera Domini,” courtesy of Hymnary.org

We hope this hymn has been an encouragement to you during August. Today we share the final stanzas. We pray that you truly do find yourself blessing the Lord as you conclude summer rest and begin fall work, or embrace whatever calling God is giving you right now. May God’s grace guide and protect you, and may His favor rest upon you! Amen.

ESN Announce

The Emerging Scholars Network is always seeking opportunities to identify, encourage, and equip the next generation of Christian scholars to be a redeeming influence in the academy, church, and the world. As you have an announcement, a “call for papers”, an event, a prayer request (e.g., campus, field, higher ed), a resource suggestion, a review, etc., which is in concord with our Kingdom of God endeavor, please send materials (marketing/sales material not accepted) for consideration to post via email or the ESN Writer Survey. Thank you.
