He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” — Psalm 91:1-2
Today InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is petitioning the Lord to keep open the doors for our 23 chapters in the California State University (CSU) system. Please join us in A Day of Prayer for Campus Access.
For a Guide for a time of Prayer for the California State University Decision, developed by our national Spiritual Formation Team, visit the Call for Prayer for the California State University System. In the opening section [Worship/Adoration], I meditated upon Praise to the Lord, The Almighty (3 min) for quite some time before turning to Interceding for the California State University Decision through the lens of Daniel 1:8-9, Daniel 1:18-20, Daniel 3:13-18.
No matter your circumstances and responsibilities, I encourage you to “[p]ray for courage and grace for Alec Hill, Greg Jao and the other InterVarsity leaders who are in this conversation with the CSU staff. Pray for a positive resolution that allows our chapters to remain viable members of CSU communities. It may be the case, as it was for the three faithful exiles, that God answers this prayer in an unexpected way. Let’s pray that we would have eyes to see and ears to hear God’s answer. . . .”* AND as you have particular prayer requests, please do not hesitate to drop me a line that I may likewise be praying for you as you journey in higher education.
