The ESN blog is taking a break for Memorial Day. If you’re in the US, may I recommend going to a small-town parade (or two, in out case) and getting together for a cookout with friends? I also hope that you’ll take some time to visit a cemetery or other special place to remember loved ones and meditate on Christ’s victory over the grave.
The former Associate Director for the Emerging Scholars Network, Micheal lives in Cincinnati with his wife and three children and works as a web manager for a national storage and organization company. He writes about work, vocation, and finding meaning in what you do at No Small Actors.
Last night I started reading the newly published “The Art of Dying: Living Fully Into the Life to Come” (Rob Moll, InterVarsity Press, 2010, http://www.ivpress.com/cgi-ivpress/book.pl/code=3736. Note: excerpt at http://www.ivpress.com/title/ata/3736-cut.pdf ). An excellent preparation for conversations on death/life at the Marietta (PA) Memorial Day Parade and over our extended family’s lunch. More thoughts coming, taking a break from the blog. Really 😉
